As a complete dining set with two arm chairs or by itself as an accent piece these side chairs work well in every room of the house. These are the original Shaker-style chairs that were hung on peg racks in the dining room so that it was easier to sweep the floor.
The posts on this chair have a slight tilt in the back for comfort.
The seats come in two sizes. Chairs can be ordered with a ladder or woven back. Add $20.00 additional for shawl rail.
These chairs are built using 100% maple. They are lightweight but extremely strong. Each dowel is oven-dried before assembly for a tight fit. The seats are woven with 100% cotton tape with a high-density foam filler. The cotton-tape can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Each chair comes with FREE Mohawk Fabric Guard®.
These chairs are made in Maine. Most of the maple is harvested in Maine, cut, dried and turned in a small family-operated dowel mill in Farmington. Other parts come from Vermont.
